My 2.6 Challenge - An Alternative Great Saunter

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page and for helping me to raise money for the Royal Society for Blind Children, the charity I work for.
I don’t usually mix work and pleasure, but this is an emergency. Blind children, young people and their families need us now more than ever, but our fundraising, which relies on face-to-face contact and group activities (such as the London Marathon) has taken a hit.
I had not shared this widely, but I had planned to be in New York City in late April/early May to participate in the Great Saunter, a 32 mile walk around the perimeter of Manhattan in a single day.
Sadly COVID-19 prevents me from doing that. In its place I plan to walk much further, but to keep within Government guidelines around daily exercise/social distancing, instead of walking 32 miles in one day, I will walk 32 miles in 5 days starting on 26 April as part of the #TwoPointSixChallenge.
The Two Point Six Challenge represents charities, the London Marathon and many other organisations coming together to replace the £67m usually raised by the London Marathon, starting on the 26th April - the day the Marathon should have been run.
Please join me in raising as much as possible for RSBC - the Royal Society for Blind Children - sponsor me, share my page, or set up your own challenge.
