Challenge 42 completed 30th January 2024. I have done walks over the course of January that have totalled 42 miles. 

Each year, over 42,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. That's why I'm supporting Bowel Research UK in January by taking on Challenge 42. Bowel Research UK are the UK’s leading specialist bowel cancer and bowel disease research charity and our research is saving and improving lives. I'll be covering 42 miles by 31st January to raise money for vital life-changing research into bowel cancer and bowel disease. Please sponsor me as I take on this challenge and start 2024 with a bang.

For me personally this is important as I incredibly lucky that my colon cancer has been treated quickly.  I am due to start chemo at the end of January and I am building my strength ready for this after November surgery.   Completing 42 miles by the end of January, starting with current 2,500 steps per day will be good exercise and doing it for Bowel Research UK will keep me motivated.  If 25 of my friends and family donate £4.20 each I will reach my £100 target 😊
