My Grandad Michael Ross Robertson was my hero. He was the nicest man you could ever meet. He died of Myeloma on Easter Sunday 12th April 2009 and was buried on his 70th birthday on 17th April 2009. I very close to my grandparents and my grandad got me into musicals and theatre and we would always go together, He was in the Royal Engineers and my sister and I always went with him for Remembrance Sunday and I always remember standing very proudly watching my grandad in his uniform. I was so close to him he always knew when I was upset and always had a made up story to tell me to cheer me up with a cuddle and either a bar of chocolate or a bowl of jelly. He was a very clever man and always helped anyone who needed it. He always told me I can be whatever I wanted to be and I should never listen to anyone who told me I couldn't, he told me always follow my dreams and my heart no matter what people said. When he got diagnosed with Myeloma Cancer he never let this bring him down he fought every battle he had and always cared about other people before even thinking about himself. He was my hero a person I wish to grow up even half as amazing as he was he was a very funny cheeky guy who could light up a empty dark room, he always made people laugh and feel so much better. He was so brave never letting the cancer get him down he was a very close family man and would do anything for his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone just spend a second with him and person would smile. I always and still feel very honoured to be his granddaughter he was a very loving caring man who I miss more everyday. Xx
