* UPDATE * I have now completed this run - thanks to the lovely Anne who talked me round lol ;-). It was a little harder than I had anticipated, note to self, more training needed next time!!

I have been persuaded by my oldest friend that if I can run 10km then I can do 16km!  Not sure how she convinced me but she did and I am off to Portsmouth THIS Saturday to be ready to run on Sunday morning.

It does sound like its going to be amazing - there will be15,999 other runners!!  Music as we go round, views of the sea and we go through Portsmouths Historic Dockyard as well I think (all distractions will be good!).

So, my idea is, that if I am going to puff and pant round this 16km then I need to show something for it.  Plus, pennies sitting here will keep me going when all I want to do is flake out on the sidewalk - lol.

I chose Home-Start as its a local charity to me that is supporting families in Northampton with at least one child under the age of 5.  Their volunteers offer regular support, friendship, and practical help to families, under stress, in their own homes, preventing family crises and breakdown. Helping them to be happy, which is something we should all feel.  Also, the Patrons of Home-Start Northampton are friends of mine :-)

£5 or £55, whatever you can spare for Home-Start Northampton will be appreciated :-)
