The Aspire Channel Swim 2015 · 1 March 2016 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

What is life without a challenge?

Over the next 12 weeks I'll be swimming 22 miles across the English Channel to raise money for people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. I used to work at Aspire so I know first-hand the amazing work that they do.

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It can happen to anyone at any time, and there is currently no cure. Every pound that I raise means that Aspire can provide practical help to a spinal injured person, allowing them to live a more independent life, so please donate as much as you can and help make a difference.

Keep up to date with my progress on my blog: http://whatkirstydidnext.com/.
