Story

Please show your support as I Go Extreme with Jerry Green by taking on the Skydive challenge. I'm doing this to challenge myself, and raise funds to support Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

Growing up, all I ever wanted was a dog. A best buddy, a loyal companion, and play mate. It took 28 years, but it eventually happened. Myself and my Wife, Jessica, rescued our little Chorkie (Chihuahua x Yorkie) Fudge from the Jerry Green South Lincolnshire centre in 2020, and we've never looked back since. It's been incredible to be able to provide Fudge with the loving home, care and attention he needed and deserved, so to have the chance to raise funds and provide that opportunity for other dogs in need is a no-brainer to me.

Fudge, like so many rescue dogs, came with his "quirks"; he's a fragile little thing, he can't be left alone for very long at all, and has an extreme fear of most other dogs, both a result of Fudge's life previous to being taken in by Jerry Green. When we arrived at the centre to adopt Fudge, we were blown away with how accommodating they were with these needs, and impressed with the hard work they put in to cater for all the dogs they care for. With the help of Jerry Green's after care services, we continue to train Fudge slowly but surely to reduce these problems as much as we can. Fudge has been able to make best friends with our neighbours greyhound, and he's comfortable with being left alone for 15 minutes at a time.

Fudge comes everywhere he can with us; holidays, our own wedding, and more recently he's become the office dog, enjoying an awful lot of fuss and treats! I got my best buddy, loyal companion (unless there's food on offer), and play mate, thanks to Jerry Green.

If you donate, you'll be contributing towards a brighter future for so many dogs that need the kind of love, care and support Fudge has had. Jerry Green Dog Rescue continue to provide a safe place for homeless dogs and to seek new loving places for them to live. They pioneer and provide the highest standards of welfare for the dogs in their care and actively seek opportunities to educate the public in matters pertaining to dog welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among dogs.

Thank you for reading, and for all donations!
