Guus, Peter & Guy - 4 Day Marches, Njmigen, Holland We are busy training for this historic walking event in Holland taking place on 18th to 21st July. This is the 105th time of holding this, the world’s largest walking achievement event. For those who, like me, had never heard of it before, we walk the equivalent of a marathon for four consecutive days - all in the Njmigen area. We travel to Holland on Sunday 16th July and drive to Njimigen. On the following day we have to register for the event and collect our wrist bands for our chosen distance of 40 km. There are three choices of 30, 40 & 50 km. This should be exciting as there are 50000 plus entrants. There is an early start on 18th but I understand that residents and spectators make it a party atmosphere wherever possible. The four days have different themes with one day called “mountain day” (in Holland!) and a pink theme on day 2 for example (we have our charity shop tees at the ready). We are keen to use this as a way of raising additional funds for The Forge Church and would welcome your support by sponsoring us.
