Story

Hi and Thank You for visiting my page!  After the success of my poppy run in 2020 (a big thanks to all those who donated last year), I’ve signed up again to take part in My Poppy Run 2021. I hope to raise more than I did last year doing a couch to 11K run, as 2021 is the centenary of the RBL. To mark this occassion I have challenged myself with an ambitious target to run 100 kilometers at 20 kilometers a day on 5 consecutive days. Come rain or shine I will be pounding the streets from November 1st to the 5th. Daily updates will appear on this page during this challenge. By taking part in this challenge I’ll be raising funds to support the Royal British Legion. Their Poppy Appeal was founded to help those in need following a national crisis. Right now they are helping those who are isolated from family, facing homelessness, struggling to feed their children and are in financial crisis. They are working tirelessly to ensure that those who have served are being looked after no matter what challenges they, and the country faces. Your donation will mean they can continue to provide the life-changing support that our Armed Forces community needs and deserves.  Thank you for your support Russ
