Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you know I have supported Macmillan Caring Locally for a many years due to the support they provided my whole family when my Mum sadly lost her 10 year battle with cancer.

4 years ago, I abseiled Spinnaker Tower for Macmillan Caring Locally. I am terrified of heights (3 rungs up a step-ladder is a bit scary!) so this was a real challenge for me. To say I had a mild meltdown is an understatement but I completed the challenge. That day, I challenged myself to do it again, with a little less drama! So, here I am facing my fear of heights once again. This time, I've set myself some additional challenges: get off the platform and down the tower quicker; don't cry all the way down! To help me do this, four of my closest friends are doing this challenge with me - thank you Sonja, Ruthie & Maddie.

My mum was my best friend. Losing her was the hardest thing my family went through, but the support we received from Macmillan Caring Locally made that terrible time just a little bit easier. The work they do is amazing.

Every sponsorship donation we receive means Macmillan Caring Locally can help another family say goodbye to a loved one.
