Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August 2021, dad received the devastating blow of a terminal bowel cancer diagnosis. On Wednesday 15th December, dad passed away after contracting sepsis.
Dad would have turned 70 on Tuesday 15th February, and to mark this, I have decided to take part in the following:
- 1st April Cathedral to Castle run (10 miles)
- 1st May Birmingham half marathon (13.1 miles)
- 15th May Lichfield half marathon (13.1 miles)
Although we had only just started to receive visits from the St Giles team, the support they gave us the weekend of dad going into hospital was phenomenal and we’ll never forget just how amazing they were. We couldn’t have got through that scary day and evening without their care, support and guidance.
We were still trying to come to terms with the diagnosis before he went into hospital and now we’re trying to comes to terms with the monumental loss of him not being here anymore.
If you’re able to donate, however small the amount, this will help other families and cancer patients receive the care and support they need through really challenging and tough times.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thanks for all the support, much love.
