Story

Through our own personal experience and with the help of Dementia Forward, we are starting to understand how challenging living with dementia can be.

We want to help support people with dementia and their families. We want to ensure they can access the support they deserve. We want to help people to continue to do the things that they enjoy, to maintain healthy relationships, to make new friends and share happy experiences in a supportive environment. With invaluable help from Dementia Forward and our supporters, we can achieve our goal and help the Dementia Forward team to continue their incredible work across our region, supporting families facing huge challenges in dealing with the impact of dementia. So, we've decided to set ourselves a challenge of our own...

To climb the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales. We will be climbing over 10,000 feet, (9 times the height of the Eiffel Tower!) and covering a distance of 23 miles across the three peaks... oh, and we will be aiming to complete it in 24 hours, which won't be easy given we'll have nearly 500 miles to cover on the roads to get to and from each peak!

If you can, please have a look at the amazing work that Dementia Forward do (https://www.dementiaforward.org.uk/). If you can spare any money in these challenging times, any donations would also be really appreciated by all of us and the Dementia Forward Team.
