Story
Hello and thanks for taking time to visit my fundraising page.
It is the time of the year again when days are getting shorter and chill is back in the air. Not a very good time to start running after a long break, but there is no choice. With just about a month to go till the D-day, I am already late on starting my training. So I need your donations more than ever to get motivated and achieve the goal.
For those of you who don't know me well, I am a big fan of setting myself physical challenges...and then regretting later! I have run a marathon (yes, that's 26.2 miles) in Paris and have been running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the last 4 years. This is in addition to the 54 mile London-Brighton bike ride and numerous other 10k runs.
I have ached after every run but its been worth it as it has helped me raise over £3,500 for charities such as UNICEF, Get Kids Going, British Heart Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care. This time I am running for UNICEF again and with your help, hope to raise £550 for poor and needy children of the world.
If you would like to find out more information about what UNICEF does, please visit their website http://www.unicef.org
I hope that my commitment to putting my body through pain in aid of a good cause will encourage you to dig deep into your pockets and donate some money to UNICEF. Any donation will be gratefully received!
