Nacro Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning is a charity that has worked with children, young people and the wider community for the past 15 years across Greater Manchester and is part of The Nacro social Justice charity which has been established for over 50 years.
Nacro's Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning uses the Outdoors to help and support children, young people and the wider community from all walks of life. Through the on-going work by staff, volunteers and through fundraising, we are able to run adventurous and challenging outdoor learning programmes that equip people with valuable skills for education, work and life. We help people to become more confidant, more effective and capable within society, school, college and in the work place.
The majority of the individuals have experienced a very different life to most and lead complex lives. Some of the individuals present themselves with a multitude of issues from personal, social, emotional including health and well being.
Our minibus appeal A minibus is a valuable and needed resource that enables us to continue and support our work across the community of Greater Manchester and beyond. We do this by engaging and getting people to develop in an outdoor setting locally including places across the UK - A minibus also helps us provide the below personal development opportunities.
