Clean Water for Ghana

Clean water for Ghana · 26 April 2020
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In Ghana more than 5 million people (1 in 5 people) rely on surface water to meet their daily water needs, leaving them vulnerable to water-related illness and disease including cholera, typhoid and dysentery. Approximately 19,000 Ghanians, including 5,100 children under 5, die each year from diarrhoea- nearly 90% of which is directly attributed to poor water, sanitation and hygiene.
Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”
As Ramadan approaches and you break your fast with your families with the luxury of clean water, think of those less fortunate who are forced to drink muddy water and risk their lives simply just to survive and remain hydrated in the hot, dry climate that Ghana has to offer.
With your donations we can build wells in the most deprived parts of Ghana to ensure that they have access to safe, clean water, which is a basic human right.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
