We provide care to survivors of torture to rebuild lives and promote human rights

Story

Thanks for visiting my fund-raising page. I was thrilled with the support I got for my Scootathon in 2016, when I rode my mobility scooter ('Scooty') from Edinburgh to Fife. It was a wonderful experience and raised more than £2,800.00 for Freedom from Torture, a charity that supports survivors of the most brutal human rights abuses, giving them all the support they need to rebuild their lives.

This time I am attempting to scoot from the Glasgow Riverside Museum, where there is an old mobility scooter on display, to the People's Palace in Glasgow Green. I will go over and back across the 10 bridges - Millenium Bridge, Bell's Bridge, the Squinty Bridge, the Squiggly Bridge, George V Bridge, Glasgow Bridge, South Portland Street Suspension Foot Bridge, Victoria Bridge, Abert Bridge and St Andrew's (Blue) Suspension Bridge. Phew! Some people are promising to sponsor me for a particular bridge! Any support would be appreciated but thanks for visiting here anyway.
