In 1991 I was diagnosed with kerataconus in my right eye, a condition in which the cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone shape, which in turn causes distorted vision.  As is often the case the condition moved to my left eye too several years later.  Having this condition has always been a reminder that good vision is a gift and should never be taken for granted.

Moorfield's Eye Hospital has been caring for my eyes and vision ever since I was diagnosed over 25 years ago.  The team there has performed a corneal transplant in each eye over the years, as my overall vision began to deteriorate and there was no other option remaining.  They will continue to provide me with their expert care indefinitely.  So I'd like to finally give something back to them and support the charity that is affiliated to the hospital. 

They treat all eye conditions and help thousands of people every day.  I am very pleased to be doing these events for them and hope to raise as much as possible.
