With the Syria and Rohingya crises escalating further, the Unite for Mothers of War Night Walk on 20th October 2018 will be supporting mothers and their children.
Did you know 99% of Maternal deaths occur in developing countries?
The money raised will provide postnatal care such as trained staff, access to exceptional facilities through clinics and medicine. For many families in the developing world, losing a loved one through child birth is a harsh reality. War, poverty, lack of knowledge and living in densely populated area means that mothers and newborn babies in Afghanistan and Somalia are at increased risk of losing their lives.
£150 will help provide medical support to expectant mothers and their newborn babies through Muslim Hands Motherkind clinics in Afghanistan and Somalia, provide emergency family food parcels in Syria, and continue running medical camps for Rohingya refugees.
In memory of our beloved cousin Mohammed Shahdab Akhtar.
