Story

In November 2012 I lost a friend who i felt that i was close to, It was sometimes a love hate relationship but i always new that she was there for me if i ever needed her vise versa.

In 2006 Shelley Haines shared one of the most amazing times of my life with me and that was the day i gave birth to my 8 year old daughter Billie-leigh she was great support.

In November of 2014 I was sitting at home thinking to myself i am feeling very low and down and i'm not sure why, I then thought to myself Nadine go and take a long hard look in the mirror and find out what it is you want for your self so i did that.

I stood in the mirror and cried as i thought to myself i am fat and unfit looking dragged down it was time to kick myself up the back side find something that i like and get into fitness so that is what i did.

January time to join the gym and hit it hard, I walked my daughter to school then walked up to Lifestyle Fitness Hagley Road Birmingham started my training and then got myself a Personal trainer Mr Darrel Campball who i can thank for giving me confidence support and getting me to where I am now. He has trained me really hard then one day i attended one of Darrel's classes Boxer-size and i loved every moment of the fitness and class that was it I new that I found something that i was happy in doing Boxing. i then rang my Uncle and asked if there was any chance that i could start training with him at the boxing gym in Wednsbury the answer was yes I would love you to join the team so that is what I did.

I was then told about the pink collar boxing challenge and as soon as I seen all the information I joined up straight away its tough work training 7 days a week and being a single mother of two beautiful children who i am very proud of but i do do it, its possible. i am now so happy thinking that i am ready to get in that ring.

All i pray for is that on the fight night my Granddad who was a professional boxer back in the 1960/1970 known as popeye is looking down on me and thinking I am so proud and keeping me on my toes.

Also I am wanting Shelley Haines standing in my corner shouting come on you can do it. The fight is two days before Shelley's Birthday so shelley come on lets celebrate.
