Story
As some of you may know, I will be running the London marathon in April in aid of the British Red Cross. I have always wanted to run the marathon (even though I hate running!), and this year I was lucky enough to gain a place and I couldn't be happier and more honoured to run in aid of this charity.
The Red Cross pride themselves on being there for people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are in the UK and around the world. They provide humanitarian relief in many conflicts internationally as well as giving opportunities to attain a knowledge of first aid. Their motto is: They connect human kindness with human crisis. I have chosen to run the the British Red Cross as a close family member has been involved within the charity for the last 16 years and have seen first hand the amazing work the charity do.
The British Red Cross' belief in the power of kindness dates back to the creation of the Red Cross Movement in 1870. Their assistance in both World Wars, and currently helping over 5 million people in Syria are just are just a few examples of their life changing work.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated! I would love to reach my target and continue to support this charity.
Thank you x
