A third of Pakistan (an area the size of the UK) is under water.
Extremely high temperature topping 53’ have scorched the earths surface and melted glaciers in the Himalayan mountains causing flash flooding, this has been made worse with the start of a monsoon season “on steroids”, as quoted by the UN. Dumping almost 6 times the normal amount of rainfall causing billions in damage with more rainfall to come.
30+ million people have been displaced, over 1,000+ people have lost their lives, Pakistan produces less then 1% of global emission but ranks consistently in the top 10 countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
Pakistan is in need of urgent humanitarian aid to survive. Without immediate help millions will suffer.
