I lost my eyesight eight years ago and my first guide dog Olga was the light at the end of my very dark tunnel. When I got the call to say I was going to be a guide dog owner at the age of 17 I burst into tears because that meant I would slowly build up the confidence to leave my front door again. Olga and I would then go on many adventures from Brighton to Edinburgh, creating reports for the BBC. Speaking in front of many crowds and making many YouTube videos. When she retired back in November 2020 I was heartbroken because I didn't know who Lucy was going to be without an Olga by my side every day. 

Thankfully I have my new beautiful girl Molly and we've been able to keep beautiful Olga in our home and she's now currently on her lovely new doggie sofa as I'm writing this. She loves her new little sister Molly. Being matched with my lovely new girl back in July 2021 has been a rollercoaster of emotions and adjustment. It's like having new eyes! I love little Molly and didn't know I could love another dog as much as Olga but I do and my heart has grown. Molly is wonderful and I can't wait to see how we grow together. She's already in a Pantene advert with me! 

Without my guide dogs, I would not be the person I am today. I am so thankful for Guide Dogs UK and everything they do to support me. They are not government funded so every penny counts. I'm hoping that we can name a guide dog puppy together - I would be so thankful if you could donate this Christmas and if you can't, it would be amazing if you could share the fundraising link far and wide.
