Nancy's Kingussie Bikeathon page

Kingussie Bikeathon · 23 June 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My family and I are raising funds for the Cairngorms Trust whilst we are taking part in the Kingussie Bikeathon. It is a 25 mile cycle which is pretty far for little legs to pedal round. Although the boys are keen bmx and mountain bike riders they are not used to this sort of distance, so I think it will be a real challenge for us to get round the whole loop.
The Cairngorms Trust is a local charity that is raising funds for 2 local projects this year.
The first is in Boat of Garten at Milton Loch, an Osprey nest for the Osprey Village. This project will be building a nesting platform for an osprey, golden eye boxes, mending the sluice gates on the loch and holding willow sculpture building workshops resulting in the Ark of Caledon willow sculpture which will depict the ospreys journey.
The second is in Kingussie, The Kingussie Path Network Improvement. this project aims to repair the path and a bridge that runs from Newtonmore to Lynchat. It also includes a section of the Creag Bheag path that you take to head up the hill if you are climbing at Kingussie crags.
Both projects are in areas that I regularly use recreationally and am keen to support.
Please give generously.
