In April 2023 I will be running 26.2 miles in the Virgin London Marathon for CLIC Sargent, a charity that helped my friend Georgia through her battle with Cancer. After already raising an amazing £2,297 back in 2020 when I was first due to run the marathon, I’ve now opened a new just giving page to try and raise some extra money for this amazing cause. 

In July 2019, at the age of 23 my incredibly brave & courageous friend Georgia Marston was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, PMBCL. Georgia was taken to UCLH to begin intense chemotherapy to help shrink the fast growing mass. This was then followed by 18 daily sessions of radiotherapy. In February 2020 Georgia will have results to find out if the final cancer cells have gone.

During this incredibly difficult and challenging time in Georgia and her Family’s life,  CLIC Sargent made a massive impact on her from the moment she was diagnosed. They made her feel like she wasn’t the only one going through this at the young age. 

CLIC Sargent is a charity in the United Kingdom formed in 2005. CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Its care teams provide specialist support across the UK. 

Because of their amazing work, I  want to raise as much as I can for this incredible charity so I can give back to them so they can help other young children and adults going through cancer.
