Story
In 2008 I lost my dear friend Sarah to cancer, she was just 36 and left behind her husband and 3 young girls..... since then my good friend and work colleague, Alan, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer (Sept 2010) and most recently I was touched by the loss of a boy I didn't even know in person - Harry Moseley was an amazing boy, if you haven't heard of him, google him!
So all of this drives me to constantly fundraise for Cancer Research UK. As well as doing a few personal challenges like Race for Life, Shine and Ben Nevis over the last few years, I am also part of a fundraising committee (CRUK Walton). We hold community fundraising events and to date, we have raised over £75k for the charity!
A few of the committee, and a couple of friends, have decided to challenge ourselves to hiking up Mount Snowdon on 8th September - I will also be taking part in CRUK's Shine nighttime marathon in London 3 weeks later!
I know I fundraise a lot, but please support me and the work of CRUK if you can - even £2 will help!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
thanks, Nancy xx
