As some of you will know, I've had a little 'skirmish' with Prostate Cancer over the last 3 years, and I'm feeling a little guilty that, until recently, I hadn't raised a single penny for the wonderful, clever, and oh so dedicated people who have saved my life.

Thank you to all those of you who have run alongside me as running became 'uncomfortable' at best, and my times fell away at a rate of knotts, probably the only noticeable side effects of my treatment, which is now complete.

At last, I'm starting to improve again now, and my confidence is coming back.

Having completed my initial challenge of finishing three 10k races, I am about to hit some more landmarks in the next few weeks. On the 5th August, (my 65th birthday) I am hoping to land my 100th parkrun on the same day as my 100th voluntary, so I think that warrants another push on the just giving, don't you?
