Story
I will be climbing one of the highest mountains in the Mourne Mountains every day for seven days so 7 mountains in total!
I am doing this in solidarity and to support and the fantastic work of Papuan organisations, churches and activists who are courageuosly working every day for peace and justice, stopping gender based violence, caring for the environment, supporting local livelihoods and providing essential education and health services.
In my work with Papua Partners on a daily basis I have had the privilege of witnessing the sacrifice and bravery of Papuan men and women over many years. They are asking for the international community to walk with them and support them as they respond to an escalating conflict, oppression and marginalisation. They want and need our support.
Why give?
- Support environmental champions who are protecting their communities;
- Accompany and resource young men and women who are on the front lines of stopping violence against women, human rights abuses and building healthy non-violent communities; and
- Invest in green businesses to help build sustainable futures for families and communities.
- Support communities and organisations in Papua to improve rural education and health for over 8000 people;
Thank you for your support!

Papuans are increasingly threatened by environmental destruction, militarisation, human rights abuses, a shutdown of free speech as well as rampant corruption leaving West Papuans poor and marginalised in their own land. Women and children suffer the most with very poor access to health and education and high levels of violence against women.
