Naomi King is raising money for Hospice of the Good Shepherd
Story
On Friday 15th October at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Chester, I will be taking on the challenge of the longest fire walk in the UK provided by Blaze, the fire walking experts.
Am I mad? probably.. but it's all in aid of an amazing cause and will be an experience I will (hopefully) remember fondly!
Is it real fire? Yes, burning at an average temperature of 1236 degrees Fahrenheit! To put it into perspective: paper combusts at 451 degrees Fahrenheit, aluminium melts at 1100 degrees Fahrenheit!
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd are Palliative Care Specialists who help families in Cheshire with specialist palliative and end of life care for the people, relatives and carers of the local community.
Now more than ever they need your support. Because of the shocking impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Hospice is anticipating that it will be at least £1.1 million short of the income needed for the year.

Refreshments will be available and on-site parking, although this is limited.
I have chosen a target of £500 as this could pay to run an inpatient bed for a day. Some other examples of where the money could be well used..
£55 could pay for art materials for a Child Bereavement Memory box.
£150 could pay for one days Child Bereavement Service.
£450 could pay to provide patient meals for one month.
