Story
Salaam alaykum dear brothers and sister
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Assalamu allal Hussain
Wa alaa Ali ibnil Hussain
Wa alaa awlaadil Hussain
Wa alaa ashaabil Hussain
I started this initiative on the Wafat of Syeda Masooma (as), but made this page to make it easier to donate.
I have been coming to Geneva and Switzerland from the UK in since the 1980s, and one of my greatest wishes has been to see a community centre and masjid for the Shia families here. I even began to think about collecting the names of all the Shia families so that I could look to arrange gatherings but nothing came of this.
As a result, I am very happy to come on this platform and speak in favour of this initiative. I found out about this initiative from Kazim Remtulla, who had sent me a message on the eve of the Wafaat that donations were needed, and I responded to him. He introduced me to Br Kanani and my journey then began.
I have set myself a target of £31,300 to help the initiative, and from this I am pleased to say that i already am holding some monies of over £1,000. I am going to be arranging for this to be sent through a local charity, and I also take special care to thank my very first Donor, Munir Datoo, and also my youngest donor, 6 years old from Dar, who asked me to Donate 5USD.
I have in my possession a beautiful painting of the haram, which I am happy to submit to an auction, in order to raise funds for the KSI mosque. My first bidder is £313. It does cost many thousands of pounds to go on ziyarat, but in this climate, no-one is able to go. You can instead acquire this one-off original and bring the Imam's reminder to your homes. No amount is too small, so please open your hearts and your wallets. the auctioning is being organised by KSI Geneva
Lastly, I have organised the ziyarat of Sayyeda Masooma in Qum for 40 days as a hadiya for the marhumins of all donors. Please let me know the names, and I will make sure they are included in the hadiya.
I am ever reachable, so please contact me if you have any further questions.
