Event: The National Autistic Society's Night Walks, on 6 April 2019
World Autism Awareness Week is where schools, workplaces and individuals, their families and friends all over the UK are taking part in activities to raise money and awareness for autistic people.

Story

As a parent of a 9 year old autistic daughter I know the hard work that is involved in bringing up autistic children and getting the required support to help meet their special educational needs is often challenging.

The National Autistic Society is an under funded charity that gives invaluable advice in supporting parents with children on the spectrum and is maintained throughout their adult life. Autism is a growing condition in the UK and hence the NAS is in urgent need of additional funds to maintain that level of support that it presently provides.

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.
