Story
Assalamu Alaykum and hello,
****Deployment date 15th May - 22nd May (this ramadhan)****
Sadaqa, Zakaat and fitrana donations accepted.
Insha-Allah I will be supporting the orphan children of Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust this Ramadan.
KORT is a UK registered charity (reg no 1113836) that provides accommodation, food, clothing and education at their purpose built home for orphans; the KORT Educational Complex in Akhtarabad, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
Masha-Allah KORT is home to hundreds of orphan children with the capacity for 1000 orphan children and at their peak will provide free education to 1500 orphans and children from poor & needy families.
All your Zakat and Sadaqah donations received will be distributed personally by myself whilst I am there on the ground.
£420 will help sustain 1 orphan child towards the costs of accommodation, food, clothing, medical care and education for 1 year.
£30 will provide 1 orphan child with Eid clothes, shoes and an Eid gift this Eid ul Fitr.
Please donate generously and help share the word.
It is not the CHOICE of a child to become an orphan, but we/you have the CHOICE to make a difference to their lives.
Please don't forget to add Gift Aid to your donations which will help with admin costs of this charity. This also ensures all funds raised go towards this wonderful cause.

Who is KORT and what is their story?
Answer - KORT is a UK and AJK based non-profit organisation (UK registered charity no 1113836), raising orphan children at their purpose built home for orphans in Akhtarabad, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
Their inception was the deadly earthquake that struck the region of Azad Kashmir on Saturday 8th October 2005 in which thousands of people lost their lives with many more injured and displaced. It was this tragedy that led the founders of KORT to make a commitment to serve orphan children just like we care for our own children at home.
KORT is now home to hundreds of orphan children, providing food, accommodation, clothing, medical care and quality education at their purpose-built home for orphans; the KORT Educational Complex.
KORT believe that it is the right of children to be protected, taken care of physically, psychologically and emotionally, and these rights don’t change when children become orphans.
Through education, good nutrition, physical wellbeing, consistent loving care and encouragement, KORT will help their children to perform better at school, be healthier, succeed in the working world and participate more in society.
What type of donations can I give?
Answer - All types of Sadaqah Zakat and Lillah can be donated for the orphan children.
I am from Pakistan, can I visit the orphans?
