Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  This challenge involves cycling over a 55-mile route that includes the infamous Cat & Fiddle, a 7-mile climb that tests the most robust of cyclists. 

I am raising money for Cystic Fibrosis which is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases. CF affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food. Each week 5 babies are born with CF and 3 young lives are lost. 

My daughter Zara was diagnosed with CF at 6 weeks of age.  She is now almost 6 years old and we are fortunate that the treatment that she receives is improving all of the time.  With your help, Zara, and many other children like her may benefit from the advances that research and development can bring. 

In addition to the nice warm feeling that you will undoubtedly have from helping out, you will also have the added bonus of seeing me and Dave 'blowing a gasket' as we will endeavour to publish suitable pictures after the event!
