Thames Bridges Challenge 2019 · 7 September 2019 ·

A 25km route, setting out from Putney Bridge - heading downstream towards the City, zig-zagging over an array of 16 historic bridges.

Story

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity enables families who have a child with a life threatening illness to make the most of precious time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where they need it, for as long as it is needed.£26 will provide one hour of care, enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so that their parents can have a break.£182 pays for a days visit from a Family Support Worker which allows parents to do chores, look after other family members, relax or simply sleep.£1,780 is the average cost of support for a family with a seriously ill child for a year.

In my opinion - me giving up one day (and some skin off the back of my feet no doubt!) is an incredibly fair trade, in order to aid families access to the support they require to enable them to continue to be the strong, and wonderful parents their children need.

Thank you in advance for your support!
