We have decided to take on the
challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for a truly inspiring foundation, Rainbow Trust in August 2019.

Ever since seeing the mountain from the Kenyan border many years ago, I have wanted to go back. Instead of waiting for the clouds to clear to see the summit I now want to be able to reach that summit and marvel at the

Neither of us have done anything like this before but we are ready for the challenge of a lifetime, raising money for a great charity whilst carrying out an amazing personal challenge. We are not taking on this adventure till next year (giving us both time to train and get fit) but also to give us enough time to raise the money required.

Rainbow Trust enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of their time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where it is needed, for as long as it is needed; from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.Rainbow Trust pairs each family with a dedicated Family Support Worker who becomes a trusted and constant person in family life, supporting in the home, at hospital and in the community.Their work is almost entirely self-funded, so it is only with the help of supporters like yourselves, that they are able to raise the funds to care for more families needing support.£23 pays for an hour of support, providing enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so their parents can have a break.£161 pays for a day's visit from a Family Support Worker which allows parents to leave the house or simply sleep.£552 pays for an hour of bereavement support for six months for a family from an expert Family Support Worker.
