Everybody deserves the chance to live their lives however they want to, but this is easier for some than for it is others. I am eternally grateful for the independence I am so lucky to have… even just the fact that I have the choice to run a marathon is something I should never, and will never, take for granted. 

But it goes beyond running…

… it goes into every single aspect of your life whether that’s school, uni, work or anything else, the choices you make should be your own and you should be able to live it however you want to. This is obviously challenged when this, which so many take for granted, is unacheivable without the use of specialised equipment. And, while the NHS does a huge amount, they can only do so much!  Many young people don’t meet the needs required to qualify for NHS funded equipment and this is why Whizz Kidz works to give these young people the support they need to live their lives as independently as possible!!
