We care for people at the end of their life to support them and their loved ones

Story

My Grandad (Alan) was a massive Arsenal fan who had been suffering with Lung Cancer and COPD. For him I want to remember the highlights of his beloved Arsenal FC and his life. In return raising money for the amazing hospice that looked after him until the day he passed.

The challenge will take place on what would have been his birthday weekend in January 2022.

In 24 hours I will be aiming to visit, photograph and film the highlights below:

• Woolwich Arsenal where AFC first started out

• Loughborough where Arsenal enjoyed their biggest ever victory and their biggest defeat in a match

• Wembley where they won 30 times for the FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield

• Highbury. Revisiting where Arsenal used to play their home games

• Emirates. The place Arsenal now call home

• White Hart Lane. Where Arsenal won the league in 2003/04 season and where my Grandad took me on 27th December 1994 for Spurs vs Palace. The famous game that ended 0-0 and me dropping the man of the match award

• Finally making my way to Copenhagen and visiting the ground where Arsenal won their only Cup Winners Cup in 1994 against Parma at FC Copenhagen. Arsenal’s first ever European game was also against Copenhagen XI in 1963 which will make this even more fitting for the final stop.

24 hours is the deadline and should I make £1000 I will complete in an Arsenal football shirt. Being a massive Eagles fan who has refused for 34 years to accept Arsenal are the best team in London this will be hard work.
