Story
My friend Kerrie said to me on New Years Eve, we’re all doing the Great South Run in October you should come down and join us. I do a bit of running, yes let’s do it I said. Anyway I woke up the next morning, just how long is this run I asked? 10 miles she answers... 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve never ran 10 miles in my life!
That’s how it started, but I wanted to see if I could raise some money along the way for the Stroke Association. As you will likely know my Dad had a fatal Stroke some 12, almost 13 years ago now, and I figured it’s time I raised some more money for this worthy cause.
I'm running the Great South Run for #TeamStroke! There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.Stroke Association believes everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. Your support will help them to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments. Help me raise as much as possible to help rebuild lives after stroke - thank you!
