Great Scottish Run 10K 2017 · 1 October 2017 ·

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As we both work within the Royal Hospital for Children, we get to meet some of the inspirational children who are treated within the Schiehallion Ward in Glasgow. These children face the toughest journeys and are the some of the bravest people in the world, which is where the name of the ward came from;

We named the ward after the mountain - Schiehallion - to mirror the journey for children with cancer. We recognise that it’s an uphill struggle, but we also recognise that you can walk up a path with lots of people who will get you to the top.

We are not runners so we wanted a bit of challenge as these children are faced with such huge challenges on a daily basis. We wanted to support Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity's current Schiehallion Appeal looking to raise £500,000 to bring the latest cancer treatments to Scotland.

Please consider sponsoring us to help these children ring the Schiehallion Bell!
