Story

Helloo! Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, me and Jack are polar opposites when it comes to exercise.  Jack is pretty much a pro athlete and I am a pro spectator.  He runs around a lot and I know all the right things to shout and all the best encouraging chants.  It's worked pretty well for us for the last 10 years but I've decided that now is the time to chuck on my trainers and join him in a run.

Recently our nana was diagnosed with bowel cancer and only has about a year to live.  Since learning this news, we both decided that we want to raise money for more research into the disease to help fight it.

A 10k is like a marathon to me and I can't say that I am all too enamoured about the idea of running around York for 10k in the middle of summer (although, this is Yorkshire, it'll probably be 10 degrees and raining!)  But, the whole point about doing something for charity is to test yourself and challenge yourself and this is the start of me doing that.

Please, please sponsor us whatever you can spare to do this.  As I am plodding my way around the course I will think of each and every penny that I'll be raising and I'm sure that will what will carry me round.  (Jack will probably have finished the whole thing before I'm even at 5k!!)

Wish us luck, we'll see you on the other side!
