Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Hi everyone,

In a moment of madness I committed to cycling 50+ miles to raise money for Dementia UK, and if you could sponsor me even a teeny bit I would be eternally grateful.

As lots of you know my Grandad had dementia and sadly died in October last year. Through our time with him at home, in hospital and eventually in a care home we saw the terrible effect dementia had on him and the other sufferers that we met. So I'm doing it for him, and also for all of the people who have to live with this disease.

Wish me luck :)
