Within a team put together by Make Architects I will be going to a small village in South Africa in November to help build a Water pump or related amenities.   This trip is paid for by Make Architects, not by your donations!  However as part of the 'Community Challenge,' each team member must raise £2000 of pure charitable donation.

I am raising money for The One Foundation and the Architects Benevolent Society. All of the money raised will go directly to the charities, and will be divided equally between the two.

The One foundation build  unique PlayPump® water systems in Africa (Pic) which improve people's lives by providing free, clean water in rural communities. 

The Architects Benovolent Society care for architects, assistants, technologists and landscape architects and their dependants - including husbands, wives, partners, widows, widowers and children. They do things such as purchase specialist mobility equipment to the elderly, or give monthly grants to people in financial difficulty.  It's basically looking after people in need who may have a link to the profession.
