My name is Angie and for those of you who know me well you will know how difficult a post this is to write, I am a private person but need to share my story to help others so please read.
In October I got diagnosed with bowel cancer but was told they thought it was small and operable so although scared, that word cancer is just plain scary, I felt positive. I had many a scan and then went to see the bowel surgeon but unfortunately he didn't have such good news as it had spread to my liver, this turned our world upside down. In my darker days I was scared I wouldn't see my 2 year old son grow up and in my more positive days, which were thankfully more frequent, I felt so determined that I would fight this and not let it beat me.
I have now had 3 months of chemo and I am waiting for surgery to remove half my liver and the tumour in my bowel, then I will probably need more chemo. Needless to say we are in for a tough year but nothing that I can't get through with the amazing and continued support of my wonderful family and friends.

Please sponsor our wonderful team consisting of
appropriately named the Muddy Muppets who by some miracle are aiming to get round this course in one piece and without the aid of oxygen.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and remember it's not sympathy I need, it's for you to spread the word for people to check the symptoms and to sponsor us. As our friends at Tesco say 'every little helps' xxx
