💜 And so it begins 💜

Today was my first day of training for this year’s Relay For Life. An event that celebrates the power of community fundraising in the fight to beat cancer. To signify that Cancer doesn’t sleep so neither will we!

This is my beautiful best friend Laura. The picture on the left was taken in March 2023, we were oblivious that just a few months after this picture, Laura would be diagnosed with Cancer. The picture on the right, exactly 12 months after, post surgery and in the thick of receiving Chemotherapy, still my beautiful best friend Laura, but now living with Cancer. The treatment and support that she has received so far and will continue to receive, is the reason that I do this event every single year.

This will be my 6th Relay, and with help from each and everyone of you that have donated in the past, last year my amazing team raised just over £10,000 🎉 Our teams combined, raised just over £100,000!! These figures make me burst with emotion, gratitude and hope for the future. Since Relay started 7 years ago, we have raised just over £434,000… Thank you all so much for your support!

Cancer effects so many families every day, I am fundraising for every single person that is currently suffering, the survivors and the families and friends of those who have beyond sadly lost their battle.
