Story
In December we found out our daughters heart had stopped beating and a few days later she was here with us but born sleeping. We were half way through the pregnancy, several weeks pasted the "safe zone". You can never prepare for those words or the look on the midwifes face. That day, Me and my partner Rhys lost our beautiful daughter Aria. Our daughter Alesha lost her sister. Our lives will never be the same but we are hoping that raising money will help change others and help pregnancy become safer.
Me and my mum are joining hundreds of others at Tommy’s very special springtime event Walk for Hope. Taking place on Saturday 18 April 2026 at Battersea Park London. Walk for Hope is a day to come together in reflection and hope. Walking together with friends, family and work colleagues to raise vital funds to help save babies’ lives.
More people are affected by pregnancy complications and loss than is talked about. Misscarriage and pregnancy loss is still a taboo subject that make people uncomfortble to talk about.1 in 4 pregnancies in the UK ends in loss during pregnancy or birth—a devastating statistic that my partner and I now know all too well. We’ve felt the heartbreak of pregnancy loss firsthand, and it’s a pain that stays with you. That’s why I'm supporting Tommy’s.
