We are an international charity that exists to relieve suffering caused by disasters.

Story

I'm taking part in a 5 day trek through Jordan, from Amman to Petra. We will be trekking for around 8 hours a day, covering 100km through desert and mountains, in support of RedR.

If you know me, you'll know I love all things built environment. I can't imagine what it must be like to have my whole world turned upside down and to lose everything I love due to a natural disaster or conflict. This is why I think the training RedR deliver to communities and aid workers to prepare and recover from these events is so vital to get the lives of the people affected back on track.

We will spend a day meeting the people who have received training from RedR and learning about the work they do in the local area before heading out on our trek.

If you would like to find out more about RedR you can do so here:

(I am paying for the cost of the trip myself, including travel, accommodation and guides, so all money raised will go directly to the wonderful work that RedR does and will be greatly appreciated.)
