I  moved to the UK on my own in 1992. That was a big challenge for me. I  travelled around the world on my own. That was a big challenge for me as a deaf woman. Now it's time for a new challenge. 

5k everyday for 50 days may seem like nothing to you but I can tell you that I truly hate running so for me this is a big deal!!

As a deaf person I have firsthand experience of what it feels like to be excluded from everyday activities and events. I can tell you that it's much nicer to be included.

The National Deaf Children's Society does great work to ensure that children are included when they go to school/college, when they meet friends, within their own families or any other type of event.

I am hoping that the money I raise through my blood sweat and tears will go to supporting their overall aims.
