We are building a thriving network to support people affected by rare diseases

Story

On 28th May I'll be taking part in the RideLondon-Essex - a challenging 100-mile course on traffic-free roads that will start and finish in central London and feature a loop of the Essex countryside in between.

I'm raising money for Cambridge Rare Disease Network (CRDN) and their Unique Feet group. CRDN is a great charity supporting kids, young people and families affected by a rare disease. They connect families, provide local inclusive and accessible activities and help build lifelong friendships. They work with patient groups, healthcare professionals, researchers, Pharma and biotech companies to help improve the lives of the rare disease community UK wide.

All money raised will go towards inclusive and accessible activities that kids with any physical or learning disability can join in. For example, £25 covers 1 horse riding lesson, £10 for a Clip n' Climb session, and £5 covers an adapted cycling session.

About the charity

CRDN is the infrastructure that unites patients, advocates, experts and leaders to address the challenges faced by people affected by rare diseases. By sharing knowledge and experience, and working together, we improve the journey towards better diagnosis, treatment and support for rare families.
