Story
For those who know me, you’ll know I’m bald, love a pint 🍺 and generally consider running to the pub to be enough exercise… so 26.2 miles is going to be a bit of a shock to the system! 😂
But I’m doing it for something much more important than my questionable life choices.
I’m raising money for Sands – the baby loss charity, and this is something that means a lot to me.
Baby loss is something that sadly affects far more people than we realise. Whether it’s losing a baby during pregnancy, giving birth, or losing a baby shortly after birth, the impact can stay with families forever.
Chances are, you know someone who has been affected by baby loss. A friend, family member, colleague, partner, someone you went to school with… maybe someone who has never really spoken about it.
And that’s why charities like Sands are so important. They support parents and families through something that no one should ever have to experience, and help people feel less alone during an incredibly difficult time.
So while I’ll be pounding the streets of Manchester with my bald head shining brighter than the finish-line medals ☀️😂, sweating, questioning every decision I’ve ever made and probably dreaming about that first pint 🍺…
I’d absolutely love your support.
Even a small donation can make a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help reach someone who can.
Let’s see if we can turn my terrible decision to run a marathon into something genuinely positive. ❤️
Please donate if you can and share the post.
Thank you ❤️
