Hi everyone
I’m raising money for mental health uk by riding from London to Brighton this is a total of 55miles.
Any little donations would be much appreciated and would go a long way to help the charity help more people.
A lot of people over the last few years with covid and now the increase in everything. Have struggled with their mental health from young to old. Myself Inc the last few years have been very hard for me.
I have had some major family issues and had broken a very tight family apart. My eldest son has been struggling at school and home with anger issues and behavioural issue result in him being very physical towards myself Henry and Paige (his mum) and any family members even down to school teachers. Having been called a few times from the school to say Olly had smashed things up and hit/kicked teachers it was a very worrying time. But after a very tough few years we are now getting things under control and relieving a lot of stress from myself. These last few years have really changed my views on mental health and the people suffering. I always believe it to be the weak and negative people, having struggled though for many of years wishing things would change and go back to how they was and even some days not wanting to get out of bed or even be around people I knew because I wasn’t me. I have learnt that the strongest people suffer from mental health and without having the support of your family, your kids, work colleges, friends, partners, or a random to talk to thing can be a lot harder.
This last year has been tough but I have learnt alot about myself, how I’m feeling, what I need myself, what people need from me and most of all how to deal with tough places you can end up in during life. My kids have show me to much and helping Olly express and talk isn’t easy but I know that he knows I’m always here
Mental health doesn’t care about your age your sex your gender…. But everyone around you does
If you take anything from this post take the ability to express yourself and talk without fear there is always someone willing to listen or sit in silents in a room with you
