Peak District Challenge 2021 · 3 July 2021 ·

Alex, The Leukodystrophy Charity (Alex TLC) was founded in 2004 by a mother whose two sons had been diagnosed with leukodystrophy. She recognised the severe lack of information and support available and wanted to make sure that no one had to face leukodystrophy alone.

Story

As most of you know (and have heard me talk about it a million times!) I suffer from a rare condition known as Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). ALD is a rare inherited disorder affecting the adrenal glands and ‘white matter’ of the brain. To help slow the onset of the condition I received a bone marrow transplant in 2000.

The celebrate 21 years of my bone marrow transplant I will be walking 50k in the Peak District on July 3rd to raise money for Alex TLC who are a charity incredibly close to myself and my family's hearts.
Alex TLC support families dealing with ALD and other rare dystrophys and the highs and lows that come with it.

If you would like to donate any amount of money and watch me lose a few covid pounds in the process, please use the the following link to donate 😁😁
