Story

Hi, thank you so much for checking out our page in memory of Mila. We're super excited to be participating in a Charity Skydive in memory of baby Mila who sadly passed away on the 17th May 2015. All proceeds will go to Bristols Children's Hospitals, a charity close to our hearts.

We will be jumping out of a plane on September 10th at 12pm!!

Here is a few words from Mila's mum, Sammie:

"Mila was a very much wanted and loved little girl, at 20 week’s pregnant Mila got diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, we were given a 50/50 chance of her survival but it was never a question… she was born and at day 8 went down for a bt shunt, this caused her heart flow to go backward and caused a heart attack which then meant 45 minutes of cpr and eventually they bought her back enough to live her last 5 day’s on life support before we had to make that last decision to put an end to her suffering, Mila dies at 13 day’s old but had since raised over £17,000 in her memory for Bristol children’s hospital and target is £20,000 so I can finally feel at peace and lay our girl to rest."

Here's a brief description of what Bristol's Children's Hospital actually do and how your money will make a massive impact :

  • Family accommodation: we run three accommodation houses that provide a safe and supportive place for families to stay while their child is in hospital.
  • Medical research: we invest in medical research programmes to ensure the hospital remains a hub of innovation, where everyday experts pave the way for sick children through a network of projects with international impact.
  • Equipment: we fund state-of-the-art equipment to save lives.
  • Music, play and art therapy: our music, play and arts programme can be seen in every ward at Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping young children to deal with the stresses and fears they may face during treatment.
  • Art enhancements: we work to make sure Bristol Children’s Hospital provides a fun, stimulating and comforting space for the brave children it cares for.
